Costa Teguise Aquarium

Costa Teguise also boasts Lanzarote’s only aquarium.

In the 33 basins you’ll see:

AquaPark: Costa Teguise water park
Why visit
AquaPark is located in the heart of the island of Lanzarote, in the coastal town of Costa Teguise. It’s the largest and offers the widest variety of activities.
We enjoyed the different areas with slides, games, deckchairs, activities…
There’s something for everyone in the family.
However, as the park is large, this really creates a lot of separate spaces, and if you have children of different ages, everyone will be spread out.
What you’ll find
- Children’s lagoon
- Small slides for young children
- Jacuzzi
- Slides of varying speeds, straight or winding
- mini-river with rapids
- Paintball game (extra cost)
- Virtual reality room (additional cost)

2. Aqualava: Playa Blanca water park
Why visit
Aqualava is another great water park in Lanzarote, and it has the advantage of being open all year round.
Located in the south of the island, it highlights its volcanic character. They even use a geothermal system to heat the pools.
We liked the design of the park, which isn’t too big, which is nice for staying together as a family.

- Timan Fire with 5 winding slides

Boat trip to see the dolphins… a different kind of attraction!
Our favorite activity was the dolphin-watching trip. We were very lucky and had a dazzling show!
Of course, there’s no guarantee of seeing dolphins or whales, but in any case you’ll enjoy the beautiful views of the island, the pleasure of gliding over the water… And the excitement of looking off into the distance for a glimpse of a fin. And when you find them, it’s unforgettable!
Here’s our favorite tour to see them, in a comfortable boat where everyone has room to watch the dolphins: fast boat during the day – duration 1h30 with swimming:

Minigolfs
You can also find minigolfs, which are fun attractions for the whole family.
In Puerto del Carmen, for example, you’ll also find two minigolfs:
- Classic outdoor miniature golf: Forbidden Temple Park
- and if it’s too hot (or even raining, although that’s not unusual…), there’s also an indoor minigolf course with arcade games: Indoor Crazy Minigolf. Book your tickets now.
And themed museums…
You can also find several museums with interesting themes.
No attractions, but they can still be fun for kids, and make for a pleasant outing.
Cactus Garden
One of our favorite Lanzarote attractions is the Cactus Garden. César Manrique has imagined a fascinating transformation of this abandoned quarry.
He used the amphitheater to create a botanical garden with 4,500 cacti from all over the world (450 species).
It fits perfectly into the shape of the quarry and is dominated by a well-restored windmill.
Thanks to the structure, the cacti are protected from the strong winds that sometimes blow over Lanzarote and the plants flourish.
- Official name – Jardin de Cactus
- Allow 1h30 to 2 hours
- On-site toilets and coffee
- Wear comfortable shoes because the ground is cobbled and not always very comfortable.
- Protect yourself from the sun!
- Check opening hours and prices here.
Lava tubes
Older children may be fascinated by the underground lava tubes.
- Jameos del Agua is a unique place where what remains of a volcanic tube has been transformed by César Manrique. There’s also a salt lake with tiny white crabs.
- Cueva de los Verdes, a less transformed lava tube with no openings (not for the claustrophobic), a spellbinding world enhanced by the lights installed by Jesus Soto.
