We enjoyed staying at theHotel Seaside Los Jameos in Puerto del Carmen (Lanzarote), in the Canary Islands. We have fond memories of it: activities, luxury, proximity to the famous sandy beach Playa de Los Pocillos, it’s all there. It’s also an ideal establishment if you decide to travel with your family!

Why stay at the Hotel Seaside Los Jameos in Puerto del Carmen?
Hotel Seaside Los Jameos is a large, luxurious resort ideal for family vacations. You won’t get bored! The residence offers a wide range of activities for all ages and is one of the best hotels to stay at in Puerto del Carmen, in our opinion. In our view, these are its main assets:
- A variety of activities: the resort offers a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, spa, fitness center, tennis court, ping-pong tables and a variety of activities for children. What more could you ask for?
- Close to Playa de los Pocillos beach: just a 5-minute walk away, the hotel is ideal for enjoying the beaches of the Lanzarote coast.
- All-inclusive for children: the establishment offers a children’s club service with adapted activities. On-site catering options also make it easy for you to organize your toddlers’ meals. In fact, we’ve listed this place among the best family-friendly hotels on the island.
For all these reasons, the hotel is an excellent choice for family vacations.

Is the Seaside Los Jameos Hotel worth it? Our review
If you’re looking for an all-inclusive resort with activities for the whole family, this is definitely a hotel to consider: kids’ clubs, entertainment, minigolf, beach volleyball, tennis, table tennis, outdoor and indoor play areas…
When it comes to all-inclusives, this establishment is reputed to be one of the best on offer. For example, the buffet changes every evening, offering menus from different countries. We highly recommend this establishment for a smooth, unforgettable vacation experience, whether you’re a solo traveler, a couple or a family. It’s also very well placed if you’re looking for ideas of things to do in Puerto del Carmen outside the hotel.

Decoration and atmosphere
The decor of this luxury hotel in Puerto del Carmen features natural materials that give a sense of calm and vacation. Wooden beams and arches contrast with the white of the walls, bringing a touch of elegance to the common areas of the establishment.
The vegetation is lush, even indoors, and this transports us as soon as we enter the hotel. Fine palms form a sort of hedge of honor under the glass roof of the hall. Finally, the architecture combines design, lush gardens and traditional Canary Island seaside style.
You’ll notice that the seahorse is the hotel’s emblem, and we find this majestic little marine animal or its rounded forms in certain places, like here on this wall where the hollows of the waves are reminiscent of the seahorse’s tail. You’d almost think you were looking at a gigantic Japanese print, wouldn’t you?
Rooms are also tastefully decorated, spacious and modern. They are equipped with all the comforts and facilities you need for a pleasant stay. Claire’s light marine colors create a sense of calm and relaxation, contrasting with the traditional brown zellige-effect tiles. We found the general atmosphere of the hotel calm and relaxing, with attentive staff for young and old alike.

The room
Our room was spacious and comfortable. We particularly liked the modern, elegant decor, combined with more classic touches reminiscent of beach houses. As we entered the room, a beautiful wall arch gave us the impression of entering a cosy, pleasant cocoon.
We found the following facilities in the room: king-size bed, flat-screen TV, desk and chair, small fridge, coffee machine and minibar. A small bottle of Spain’s famous Gran Feudo wine was kindly offered to us on arrival in the room.
Also, our bed was cozy with light sheets. We loved the light wood headboard with the pretty seahorse in the center, reminiscent of the elegant posture of a horse.
We felt very much at home in this room, with its light wood, marine tones and flowers reminiscent of the seahorse, the hotel’s flagship animal.
Our room’s terrace was well appointed, with exposed ocean-blue wooden beams contrasting with the bright white of the building. Ideal for sunbathing or simply relaxing, reading a book and admiring the hotel’s gardens and pools. It’s hard to leave this peaceful space!

The bathroom
Our bathroom was well equipped with a bathtub, washbasin, mirror, towel dryer, hairdryer and storage for towels and other toiletries. The room let in plenty of light and was well ventilated. Have you noticed the navy-blue frieze that borders the bathroom above the white tiles, ceramic basin and marble rim?
The toilet was inside our bathroom. It’s a great way to save space, especially when you’re sharing a room with your partner or family.
Hygiene products were provided as soon as we arrived in the bathroom, with towels and bathrobes neatly hung up. We were also given slippers.

The breakfast
Breakfast is served as a daily buffet. We were pleasantly surprised by the choice of products on offer, both sweet and savoury.
A wide variety of food and drink awaits you to refuel before a great day of sightseeing and fun!
Fruit platters, viennoiseries, pastries, juices, various types of bread, everything looked delicious! On the savoury side, charcuterie, cheeses and other farm products are sure to please. Hot dishes and eggs in all their forms ensure a truly complete breakfast.
You can choose from a range of hot drinks, fruit juices and homemade smoothies, as well as fresh lemon water.

This resort features 3 swimming pools:
- 2 outdoor pools for all,
- 1 outdoor children’s pool.
It’s great for adults and children alike to have such spacious swimming areas to enjoy in complete safety!
Beach access
The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the sandy Playa de Los Pocillos beach, one of our favorites. In fact, it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote.
This is one of the 2 largest beaches in Puerto del Carmen. It is perfectly suited to families, close to several hotels and with shallow areas depending on the tide. There are also a few games for the kids and plenty of space for everyone.
The restoration
The hotel restaurant offers a varied buffet every day to satisfy guests’ dietary needs. As the offer is “all-inclusive”, you’ll find it easier to organize meals, especially if you’re traveling with your family. Here you’ll discover world cuisine, with hot and cold dishes, a variety of savoury dishes, salads and “on-the-go” meals.
Salads and cold starters, platters of local charcuterie, pasta dishes in all their forms, what will you let yourself be tempted by?
Of course, the menu includes the famous paella!

How to get there
To get to Lanzarote, you can choose between 2 options: plane or ferry. If you choose the ferry option, you’ll have to leave from Cadiz in Spain. If you choose to fly, it will take you less than 10 minutes by car to reach the hotel from Arrecife Airport.
If you’ve already arrived on the island of Fuerteventura, there’s a ferry linking it to Lanzarote.
If you don’t have a car and you’re in Puerto Calero, we recommend you take the boat shuttle to Puerto del Carmen to reach the city.
We strongly recommend that you travel by car on your trip to Lanzarote. If you want to explore the exceptional volcanic landscapes, you’ll need a vehicle.
