Located in the seaside town of Puerto del Carmen, this establishment is close to several beaches and the marina. We particularly appreciated its tranquility and scale. We loved this small, quiet hotel on a human scale!

This review is completely independent, based on our experiences. We visited the area anonymously, making our own choices, and paying all our bills in full.
Why stay at the Hotel Aqua Suites (Boutique) in Lanzarote?
We highly recommend staying at the Hotel Aqua Suites in Puerto del Carmen. In fact, it’s one of our picks for the city’s best boutique hotels. Here are its 3 main assets, in our opinion:
- a boutique hotel: unlike the many large resorts on Lanzarote, this establishment was on a human scale. We really liked the tranquility and intimacy of the place. We instantly felt comfortable and relaxed here, especially on the private terrace!
- practicalfacilities: the hotel had 2 swimming pools, including a children’s pool. A Jacuzzi area was reserved exclusively for adults, but don’t worry, there’s plenty to keep the young ones occupied. Between the games room and the hotel’s entertainment program, they’ll never see the clock ticking!
- 2 pleasant restaurants: the establishment features a Pool Bar, ideal for ordering a cocktail or homemade pizza, and relaxing by the water. Restaurant Aqua has an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy breakfast and dinner outside!

In addition to its many facilities and 2 restaurants, the hotel is very well located. It is close to Puerto del Carmen’s tourist attractions. It’s just a 10-minute walk to Playa Grande.

Decoration and atmosphere
The decor was modern and uncluttered. We rediscovered the charm of the island’s hotels, with their white walls and exotic plants. We noticed a few touches of warm colors, with a predominance of neutral tones. The atmosphere was very relaxing, making it an ideal place to relax while soaking up the Mediterranean sun.
We really liked the communal areas, with their comfortable designer armchairs. The stone walls also added a great deal of charm to the space. The decor was inviting and relaxing.

The room
We found the room very spacious and elegantly decorated. The room exuded a cocooning atmosphere, thanks in particular to the neutral colors and the bay window opening onto the terrace. The large taupe-colored embossed headboard was quite original. We liked the wood accents and the office space.
We liked the abstract paintings hanging on the walls, which added a touch of originality to the room. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the bed. The place was perfect for a little digestive siesta!
In our opinion, the room’s main asset was the large bay window that let in the outside light, and gave access to the terrace. This space was ideal for relaxing and enjoying the tranquility of the hotel. There were deckchairs and a table and chairs on the balcony.

The bathroom
The bathroom featured a spacious shower, a large mirror and grab bars for people with reduced mobility. We found it pleasant and airy. The sober tones and gray tiles made the room modern and elegant. In the shower and on the washbasin, we discovered skincare products.

The breakfast
Breakfast is served in the Aqua Restaurant. It takes the form of a large, comprehensive and delicious buffet. You’ll find fruit, natural juices, yoghurts, hot drinks, pastries and Mediterranean specialities. You can also enjoy an English breakfast served directly to your table, or order eggs cooked to your specifications. Depending on the weather, we recommend having breakfast directly on the outdoor terrace!

Equipment and common areas
The facility boasts a number of facilities that will appeal to young and old alike:
- an outdoor heated saltwater pool,
- a small, heated shallow pool for children,
- pool table and darts,
- sports equipment in a covered outdoor area,
- an upstairs Jacuzzi area (adults only) with solarium,
- a children’s playroom.
The hotel also offers an entertainment program, including activities for children.

From the hotel, it’s a 10-minute walk to Playa Grande, via Calle Anzuelo to Avenidas de las Playas.

The restoration
The establishment has 2 restaurants, one of which is also a Pool Bar:
- Restaurant Aqua: breakfast and dinner services. In the evening, you can choose from 4 starters, 4 main courses and 4 desserts. These are homemade desserts created by their pastry chef.
- Restaurant-Bar La Geria: close to the pool, where you can enjoy Mediterranean snacks between 1pm and 4:30pm. It also serves homemade pizzas baked in a special oven. The bar features an extensive wine list and premium cocktails served in the evening.

How to get there
To get to Lanzarote, you have 2 options: plane or ferry. If you choose the ferry option, you’ll have to leave from Cadiz in Spain. If you choose to fly, you’ll need to allow just 7 minutes by car to reach the hotel from Arrecife Airport.
If you’re already on the island of Fuerteventura, there’s a ferry linking it to Lanzarote.
If you don’t have a car and you’re in Puerto Calero, we recommend you take the boat shuttle to Puerto del Carmen to reach the city.
We strongly recommend that you have access to a car during your trip to Lanzarote. If you want to explore the exceptional volcanic landscapes, you’ll need a vehicle. Parking
A large, free public parking lot is located just outside the hotel. You can even enjoy the island’s volcanic and mountainous landscape from your parking space!
For people with reduced mobility
The establishment is adapted for people with reduced mobility. From the entrance, wheelchair users can use the access ramp and grab bar. Some rooms are equipped with bathrooms and showers with grab bars. There are also elevators for easy access to the different floors of the hotel.
