Is Hotel La Cala (Suites) in Playa Blanca worth it? Our review
We really liked this establishment. It is very well located, with a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. This is one of our favorite spots on Playa Blanca.
We particularly appreciated the large outdoor pool. In our opinion, its main asset is its ideal location in the seaside resort of Playa Blanca. We could explore the surrounding area very easily from here. With the Playa de Las Coloradas, Castillo de San Marcial de Rubicón de Femés, Marina Rubicón and many other tourist attractions, there’s plenty to keep you busy nearby. We highly recommend this hotel.
Decoration and atmosphere
The architectural style of the establishment is contemporary, with clean lines and neutral colors, to blend in with the natural beauty of the island. We really liked the contrast between the green plants and the white walls. We found the decor clean and modern, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel’s design makes the most of the magnificent surrounding landscape. We felt relaxed and at ease.
One of Playa Blanca’s most interesting luxury hotels(see our list).
We noticed a number of original touches in the architecture of the site, such as this open wall that allows you to contemplate the pool from the terrace. The shape of the pool also caught our eye – it was all curves!

The room
Our room was very bright and sober, creating a cocooning atmosphere. The furniture was classic and in natural shades, while the floor was covered with a pretty wooden parquet. Simplicity seemed to be the watchword of the decor, which we appreciated. Indeed, we felt a sense of tranquility and fulfillment as we rested here.
We really liked the large bay window that let the light into the room. What’s more, we had access to a small terrace with deckchairs, as our room overlooked the magnificent outdoor pool. Only a few meters separated us from the view of the turquoise ocean and the island’s volcanic landscape.

The bathroom
In our room, the bathroom was very functional. It featured a spacious shower and double washbasin. There was also a large mirror that visually enlarged the room. To complete the package, we had a care kit, hygiene products and towels at our disposal. We liked the sober decor of the room.
The breakfast
The hotel’s breakfast is a large continental buffet. We were impressed by the choice of products on offer. It offers a wide range of sweet and savory foods, including local à la carte dishes such as tortillas. In addition to the buffet, you can order hot dishes such as crispy bacon or grilled vegetables. We set up on the terrace to eat and enjoy the sunshine, but there’s also a dedicated room.
