1. Hotel CalaLanzarote (boutique-hotel)
Why stay there
This hotel was one of our favorites in Lanzarote.
It offered us a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, with the Castillo in the foreground, which is one of its main attractions.
We were particularly taken by the large outdoor pool and, even more, by the cocooning atmosphere it provides: its uncluttered decor highlights the magnificent landscape. As soon as we arrived, a feeling of serenity came over us.

- You’re not right next to a beach, though. Playa de las Coloradas is the nearest at 8min but doesn’t have much sand. Playa Dorada is a 25-minute walk away.

2. Hotel Princesa Yaiza (downtown resort)
Why stay there
We had a very pleasant experience at this resort. Nestled just a few steps from the beach, we were treated to a splendid view of the ocean. The quality of our services was outstanding.
We were seduced by the view from every corner of the hotel: from the rooms, from the pools, from the seafront promenade. It’s simply beautiful.
And if you’re looking for a resort with every imaginable amenity, this is the best option in Playa Blanca.

The resort boasts a wide range of facilities for young and old alike:
- direct access to Playa Dorada, the largest beach in the center of Playa Blanca, with sun loungers

OUR ADVICE FOR RENTING A CAR IN Lanzarote
- Compare prices on our preferred platform: DiscoverCars – one of the best rated sites.
- A small car is all you need.
- But you can also choose a larger one if you wish, as the parking spaces are rather large.
- Demand is high, so book early.
3. Hotel Kamezi Villas (luxury villas)
Why stay there
Another of our favorites.
The Kamezi villas won us over with their refinement and sumptuousness, enhanced by a private pool, natural materials and soothing hues.
What’s more, the sea-view bar was simply ideal, and our evening in the gourmet restaurant, where we enjoyed local produce and revisited Canarian dishes, remains etched in our memories.
The entire team took great care to ensure that we had an excellent stay.

Villas feature private pools with a small garden. It’s very pleasant.
This hotel enjoys a privileged seafront location, with direct access to Playa de Montaña Roja (6-minute walk), a white sand and pebble beach. All you need to do to reach the beach is follow the seawall path from the establishment.

4. Hotel LIVVO Volcan (marina resort)
Why stay there
From the moment we entered the hotel, we were captivated by the architecture and layout. We were immediately taken with the design’s harmonious blend of brown and chestnut shades, typical of the Canary Islands, with touches of greenery.
The pools, offering a pleasant sense of space thanks to the absence of imposing buildings nearby, instilled an atmosphere of relaxation.
The bar, with its well-thought-out alcoves, was a real coup de coeur for us.

- Small buildings, not massive or dense

- Large outdoor pools not surrounded by tall buildings
- A small pool ideal for young children
- Between Playa de las Coloradas (little sand) and Playa Dorada (sand). It’s a 20-minute walk along the seafront to Playa Dorada.

5. Hotel Gran Castillo Tagoro (families)
Why stay there
This hotel enjoys an undisputed reputation among families in Lanzarote(see our complete list in this article). It offers a variety of activities for all ages, thanks to its dedicated clubs (for under-4s, 4-8s and over-8s) which include treasure hunts, theater performances, face painting, an indoor soccer pitch, and a waterslide.
However, beyond these child-friendly features, we greatly appreciated the tiered architecture, the presence of the castillo at the heart of the white buildings, and the spaciousness of the rooms.

- including a children’s pool with waterslide
- Next to Coloradas beach (but little sand)

6. Hotel Iberostar Selection (families)
Why stay there
Another excellent hotel in Playa Blanca.
At Iberostar, we have a soft spot for the Star Prestige category rooms, as they allow you to enjoy special pools, often of great beauty.
The special feature of this hotel is its location perfectly opposite the sea, forming a graceful curve. The panoramic view towards Fuerteventura and the island of Lobos is unobstructed.
We were won over by the spacious rooms and generous buffets.
