We loved discovering the Apartamentos Coloradamar in Lanzarote!
Located in the seaside resort of Playa Blanca, this establishment is close to the Atlantic Ocean. We particularly liked the fact that each apartment was completely independent, giving us total freedom of action.
In this article, we present the establishment and its services in detail, with plenty of photos to give you a precise idea of the place.
This review is completely independent, we stayed anonymously and paid our bill in full.
Why stay at Apartamentos Coloradamar (Livvo) in Playa Blanca?
This hotel is the ideal place to spend a relaxing vacation with family or friends. Here are its three main assets, in our opinion:
- self-contained apartments: we liked the fact that the apartments were fully equipped, with their own kitchen, living room, bedroom(s) and terrace. They offer extra privacy and freedom for holidaymakers. We recommend this establishment for groups!
- the location: just an 8-minute walk from Playa de Las Coloradas and 15 minutes from the Mirador Marítimo viewpoint, we really enjoyed strolling around and contemplating the bay of Playa Blanca. - Amenities: an outdoor pool and whirlpool to relax and make the most of your stay. Deckchairs are also available for sunbathing. We recommend booking an apartment with a private Jacuzzi for even more relaxation!

Is the Coloradamar Hotel (Apartamentos) worth it? Our review
In our opinion, this establishment is an excellent choice for a pleasant stay with family or friends in Playa Blanca. You can stay in fully equipped apartments that guarantee total independence. It’s a more economical option, as you’ll be able to cook your own meals. The hotel is conveniently located, with easy access to Playa de Las Coloradas on foot. Decoration and atmosphere
The hotel’s decor is representative of the Canary Islands. We saw black rocks, straw parasols and exotic plants. We felt relaxed and at ease. We recommend that you choose a deckchair and relax in the shade of an umbrella after a dip in the pool!
The buildings are all white to blend in with Lanzarote’s natural beauty. The magnificent surrounding landscape is enhanced by the establishment’s sober, uncluttered design.

The apartment
The room was a real invitation to relax, with classic yet colorful decor. Yellow walls, vintage-style furniture and colors reminiscent of the sea and the sun created a welcoming atmosphere in the room. We loved the many touches of woven rattan throughout the apartment!
There’s also a fully equipped kitchen, with hob, oven, fridge and crockery. There’s also a lounge area with armchairs and a TV. We recommend this accommodation for groups. There’s room for everyone.
The apartment had a terrace with panoramic views of Playa Blanca. It was very pleasant, as it was equipped with deckchairs and a private Jacuzzi to enjoy the Lanzarote sun. We would like to inform you that not all apartments have a private Jacuzzi, depending on the accommodation you book.

The bathroom
Our bathrooms are practical and functional. They feature a shower, washbasin and mirror. The rooms are soberly decorated in shades of blue and white, evoking the proximity of the sea. We found the ambience of the bathroom soothing.
The breakfast
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to try out the hotel’s breakfast. However, please note that it is not served on site, but in the Hotel Tacande Bocayna (Village), a 3-minute walk away. As your apartment will include a kitchen, you’ll also be able to have breakfast on your own.
Equipment and common areas
The villas feature a range of amenities that are sure to please:
- an outdoor swimming pool with a large terrace,
- whirlpool bath,
- a tennis court,
- access to Playa de Las Coloradas,
- private Jacuzzis (not all apartments have them).

Beach access
To reach the nearest beach, you’ll need to walk about 8 minutes along Calle de la Hoya. Playa de Las Coloradas is at the end of the road. Then simply walk along the embankment, the Paseo Marítimo, to get there.
The restoration
The establishment has no restaurant or bar. As the apartments are fully booked, you’ll be able to cook for yourself, and save money in the process. However, if you’re looking for good addresses nearby, here are 2 nice restaurants within walking distance:
- Restaurant Carpe Diem: delicious Spanish cuisine at reasonable prices in a calm, soothing setting far from the hustle and bustle of the city center.
- Restaurant El Lagar De Baco: Mediterranean cuisine and Spanish specialities on the menu, for a pleasant moment on the terrace or indoors.

How to get there
To get to Lanzarote, you have 2 options: plane or ferry. If you choose the ferry option, you’ll have to leave from Cadiz in Spain. If you choose to fly, you’ll need to allow around 30 minutes by car to reach the hotel from Arrecife Airport.
If you’re already on the island of Fuerteventura, there’s a ferry linking it to Lanzarote.
We strongly recommend that you have access to a car during your trip to Lanzarote. If you want to explore the exceptional volcanic landscapes, you’ll need a vehicle.
