Why stay at Hotel Fariones?
The Hotel Fariones is an excellent option for those looking for a sun-drenched luxury stay. In our opinion, this is one of the most beautiful hotels in Lanzarote.
- Superb luxury hotel with magnificent decor: the Hotel Fariones is a fully renovated luxury hotel with modern, elegant interiors. We really enjoyed our spacious, comfortable room with its magnificent view of the sea and palm trees.
- Infinity pool overlooking palm trees and sea: The hotel’s infinity pool offers a breathtaking view of the sea and palm trees, making it the ideal setting for relaxing and unwinding. We spent a lot of time swimming and just relaxing.
- Several sandy beaches close to the hotel (including the main Playa Grande): The hotel is close to several sandy beaches, including the main Playa Grande, which offers an excellent opportunity for swimming and sunbathing.

Is the Fariones Hotel worth it? Our review
We stayed at the Hotel Fariones and were very impressed by the quality of the accommodation and the services it offers. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. The hotel is located just a few minutes from the town’s main beach, making it an ideal vacation spot.
We found the staff very welcoming and helpful, and the front desk staff were always very knowledgeable and willing to help.
In our opinion, this is one of the best hotels in Puerto del Carmen and one of the best luxury hotels in Lanzarote.
Decoration and atmosphere
The Hotel Fariones in Puerto del Carmen is a true work of art. The architect and interior designer worked together to create a space that is both relaxing and refined, with its renovation scheduled for 2021. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Sculptures and works of art add an extra touch to the overall ambience.
The outdoor spaces, though small, are well landscaped with plants and flowers that create a lovely oasis. It all adds up to a very pleasant and relaxing experience for our customers. We loved the atmosphere and the scenery!

The room
We found our room very bright, spacious and full of textures. The decor was modern and cozy, creating the perfect cocoon for relaxation. We particularly liked the superb wooden floor, the interesting, modern headboard with its relief pattern, and the very comfortable armchair.
As we entered, we immediately felt relaxed, thanks to the view of the magnificent trees and the decoration, which was present but not overbearing.
The room was equipped with a kettle, coffee machine and small refrigerator. We also found flip-flops to walk around the pool.
The view from our room was superb. We had a pretty little terrace with blue-toned tiles and comfortable armchairs. Our room wasn’t on a high floor, but we really enjoyed the view of the many palm trees in the garden and the hints of blue from the sea between the trunks!

The bathroom
We particularly liked the bathroom, which opens onto the bedroom, and its blue-toned tiling, a very soothing color.
In our room, the bathroom had a shower with good pressure and was very pleasant. A bathrobe and slippers were available for our use. The toilets were separate and easily accessible.
The bathroom featured Per Purr and Castelbel skincare products.

The breakfast
Breakfast at Hotel Fariones is a varied and tasty buffet. You can enjoy homemade products such as yoghurts, salads and freshly squeezed fruit juices. We enjoyed ourselves.
You’ll be delighted by the choice of products on offer, whether sweet (beautiful platters of cut fruit, pastries, cakes…) or savoury (huge selection of cold meats, breads, cheeses, egg-based preparations, sausages…).
You can enjoy breakfast in the large, well-spaced dining room, or on the terrace surrounded by greenery.

Swimming pools and beaches
Hotel Fariones boasts a superb infinity pool between the hotel and the beach.
It’s surrounded by palm trees and overlooks the sea.
We found it long enough to do laps, and ideal for just relaxing and admiring the view. If you’re feeling a bit warm, there are also sun loungers in the water.
Below the pool, you’ll find another lovely area with two Jacuzzis for those who prefer warmer water.
And if you choose the more upscale rooms, you have access to another pool on a terrace higher up in the building.
The hotel has access to several beaches.
Small coves at the foot of the hotel and also the largest beach in Puerto del Carmen: Playa Grande with deckchairs, pedalos, paddles and the possibility of walking with your feet in the water.

Equipment and common areas
For sports enthusiasts, the hotel offers access to its sports complex just 50m away.
Here you’ll find another adult pool, a children’s pool, Jacuzzi, sports courts, tennis courts and plenty of sports equipment.
The hotel also features a spa with a beautiful massage area offering a sea view. The ideal place to relax and focus on your well-being!
The hotel also offers musical evenings with pianists and live bands playing around the hotel bar.
The restoration
Hotel Fariones in Puerto del Carmen offers a variety of dining options. There’s an outdoor terrace bar, a poolside bar and an indoor bar with plenty of space and elegant decor.
The hotel also offers a buffet restaurant and 3 à la carte restaurants (not all of which are open at all times). The dishes are of high quality and offer a good variety.
History
Hotel Fariones is one of Lanzarote’s most emblematic hotels. Construction began in 1964 and was completed in 1967. The hotel was opened by the Fariones hotel chain, which was founded in 1960 by Juan Pérez-Guerra. The opening of Hotel Fariones marked a turning point in Lanzarote’s tourism industry, as it was the first to offer quality services to tourists. At the same time, the desalination plant was built, enabling tourists to enjoy drinking water. Over the years, Hotel Fariones has been renovated and modernized to meet the needs of our guests.

How to get there
To get to Lanzarote, you have 2 options: plane or ferry. If you choose the ferry option, you’ll have to leave from Cadiz in Spain. If you choose to fly, you’ll need to allow just 7 minutes by car to reach the hotel from Arrecife Airport.
We strongly recommend that you have access to a car during your trip to Lanzarote. If you want to explore the exceptional volcanic landscapes, you’ll need a vehicle. The hotel has a private underground parking lot at an additional cost.
We strongly recommend that you reserve a space here, because even though parking spaces in the surrounding streets are free, it’s hard to find parking.
In this underground parking lot, you’ll find electric recharging points and a bicycle zone.
For people with reduced mobility
The hotel has an elevator and parking for disabled guests. The hotel also offers specially designed services for disabled guests, including adapted seating, information leaflets and mobility aids.
Is Hotel Fariones family-friendly?
