We loved discovering the Hotel Jardines del Sol (Diamond Resorts) in Lanzarote!
Located in the seaside resort of Playa Blanca, this establishment is close to the Atlantic Ocean. We particularly liked the fact that each apartment was completely independent, giving us total freedom of action.

If you’re looking for a pleasant place to stay with a group, we recommend this apartment hotel, one of the best options in Playa Blanca. Here are its 3 main assets, in our opinion:
- self-contained apartments: we liked the fact that the apartments were fully equipped, with their own kitchen, living room, bedroom(s) and terrace. They offer extra privacy and freedom for holidaymakers. It’s also a more economical option, as you can prepare your own food straight away!
- location: situated in the Playa Blanca resort, you’ll have easy access to several nearby tourist attractions: Playa Flamingo (15min walk), Playa Blanca beach (5min drive), and especially Montaña Roja (13min walk).

Is the Jardines del Sol apartment hotel in Playa Blanca worth it? Our review
In our opinion, this establishment is an excellent choice for a pleasant stay with family or friends in Playa Blanca. You can stay in fully equipped apartments that guarantee total independence. This is a more economical option, as you’ll be able to cook your own meals. What’s more, the facilities are ideally suited to group vacations. Between the swimming pools, miniature golf course and Bar-Restaurant, you’ll never be bored! The hotel is also conveniently located, with easy access to several tourist attractions, such as Montaña Roja. Decoration and atmosphere
The establishment exudes an atmosphere of relaxation. We liked the fact that the apartments are built in the typical style of the white villages of the Canary Islands. We also liked the wide tree-lined avenues.
Exotic plants seemed to have taken over the outdoors. The contrast between the lush vegetation, the black floor and the white walls, gave the place great charm. We felt relaxed and at ease. We recommend that you enjoy your private terrace before taking a dip in the pool!

The apartment
The room was welcoming and comfortable, with a fairly sober decor. We found the headboard rather original. It reminded us of the local vegetation.
In the living room, we liked the wood furniture, the tiled floor and the color-gradient curtains. The pretty coffee table in the center of the room added an extra touch of warmth. We were seduced by the bay window opening onto the private terrace!
Kitchen equipment includes hob, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. We found the decor rather classic, but the kitchen was very practical.
Our favorite feature of the apartment is the private outdoor terrace with table, chairs, parasol and deckchairs. It’s a great place to enjoy family meals!

The bathroom
The bathroom was small but functional. It featured a bathtub that could also be used as a shower. Once again, the decoration of the room was relatively simple. We liked the small fresco with floral motifs that broke up the white tiled wall.
The breakfast
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to try out the hotel’s breakfast. However, it is served in the hotel restaurant. As your apartment will include a kitchen, you’ll also be able to have breakfast on your own.
Equipment and common areas
The aparthotel boasts a number of facilities that are sure to please:
- 3 outdoor pools, including 1 children’s pool,
- table tennis, billiards and table soccer,
- massage service,
- mini-golf overlooking the Atlantic Ocean,
- a children’s playground,
- a giant chess set.
You can also enjoy shows and entertainment on the premises. Indeed, we enjoyed the activities on offer: visits or courses on local culture, themed dinners, film evenings and concerts.

Beach access
From the hotel, you can walk to Playa Flamingo in 15 minutes or take a 2-minute drive. To do so, walk along Calle Avenida Archipielago. Once you’ve arrived, if you have a car, you’ll be able to find a free parking space nearby quite easily.

The restoration
The hotel has a Bar-Restaurant next to the swimming pool. This restaurant offers a variety of dishes, drinks and snacks. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It serves a variety of international and local dishes. We found the atmosphere joyful and family-friendly.

How to get there
To get to Lanzarote, you have 2 options: plane or ferry. If you choose the ferry option, you’ll have to leave from Cadiz in Spain. If you choose to fly, you’ll need to allow around 30 minutes by car to reach the hotel from Arrecife Airport.
If you’re already on the island of Fuerteventura, there’s a ferry linking it to Lanzarote.
We strongly recommend that you have access to a car during your trip to Lanzarote. If you want to explore the exceptional volcanic landscapes, you’ll need a vehicle.

This hotel offers family apartments with several bedrooms. We enjoyed the games provided. We could play table tennis, billiards and table soccer. The giant chess set and miniature golf course overlooking the ocean were particularly appealing! There’s also a children’s play area. Depending on your interests, you can take part in the entertainment organized by the establishment. It’s the ideal place for a relaxing, fun-filled family holiday.
