Why stay in Puerto Calero?
If you’re looking for an exclusive marina, stores and restaurants, Puerto Calero is famous for its high level of service.
It’s a pretty relaxing place, centered around the harbor with views of the mountains.
On the other hand, you won’t find any long sandy beaches.
It all depends on what you’re looking for!
In Puerto Calero, we particularly like the charm of the buildings around the port, the views towards the southern tip of Lanzarote and the magnificent Paseo Maritimo (seafront promenade).

1. Hotel Secrets Lanzarote (5 stars – adults-only)
Why stay there?
This adults-only establishment offers a luxurious experience in a unique setting on the island of Lanzarote (see our top adults-only establishments). In our opinion, these are its main assets:
- Facilities: the hotel offers a wide range of services to meet all guests’ needs: 4 heated outdoor pools, a spa area, a fully-equipped gym, 6 restaurants, bars and other leisure facilities. We found the establishment to be very comprehensive. We highly recommend a stay here!
- Decoration: the hotel is tastefully decorated and offers a warm, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are luxurious and equipped with all the comforts you need to feel good. We really liked the vegetation on the site. Exotic plants seemed to have taken over the outdoors!

This is one of Lanzarote’s finest boutique hotels. It’s very elegant, modern and bright. As soon as you enter the hotel, a wave of relaxation sets in.
We love the seaside pool and the magnificent views from the rooms.
The team is always on hand to help us have an excellent stay.
The minimalist design is very successful and allows you to concentrate on the essentials: the view and relaxation.

Why stay there?
And in a very different style, a little further from the sea, in the hills, you’ll find Finca Isolina. If you’re looking for something more traditional, this is the place for you.
It’s more like a B&B with just a few rooms.
It’s a Finca (country house) with whitewashed walls.
The location is secluded on a quiet street, so you’ll enjoy plenty of peace and quiet.
A lovely blend of traditional and modern design.

Tips for your stay in Puerto Calero
Puerto Calera is above all a marina.
It’s not a seaside resort. The range of restaurants, stores, activities and beaches is limited.
We love the calm and elegance of the place, but we strongly recommend renting a car to explore the rest of Lanzarote. There’s a lot to see.
