4-star hotels in Lanzarote – our opinion
Summary
The range of 4-star hotels in Lanzarote is remarkably diverse, catering for all types of traveler. You’ll find..:
- family establishments with kids’ clubs and entertainment, perfect for all-inclusive family vacations,
- large resorts that offer a complete experience with multiple pools, a variety of restaurants and activity programs, some of them adult-only,
- small boutique hotels with a more intimate, personalized atmosphere,
- apartment-hotels, an excellent option for longer stays or for those who appreciate independence.

The 3 seaside resorts
The geographical distribution of the 4 stars is interesting: they are particularly present in Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise, offering excellent value for money. In Playa Blanca, on the other hand, the offer is more inclined towards 5-star establishments.
1. Hotel Barceló Teguise Beach (adults-only – Costa Teguise)
Why stay there?
It’s impossible to beat the Barcelo hotel’s location in the heart of the city.
This is an elegant hotel with 2 beautiful pools that immediately charmed us. They are ideal for those who love to swim.
Our room was spacious with a sitting area. We had a beautiful terrace with jacuzzi and sea view. A great way to unwind at the end of a day exploring Lanzarote!

- 1 full-length infinity pool with sea view
- Between the beaches of Playa de las Cucharas (the main one) and Playa del Jablillo. Very easy to access.

2. Hotel Royal Marina Suites (Puerto Calero)
Why stay there?
This is one of Lanzarote’s finest boutique hotels. It’s very elegant, modern and bright. As soon as you enter the hotel, a wave of relaxation sets in.
We love the seaside pool and the magnificent views from the rooms.
The team is always on hand to help us have an excellent stay.
The minimalist design is very successful and allows you to concentrate on the essentials: the view and relaxation.
It is located in the town of Puerto Calero, organized around the marina, a fairly quiet town.

- the small pebble beach of Puerto Calero is just below the hotel, but there’s no long sandy beach.

3. Aqua Suites Hotel (Puerto del Carmen)
Why stay there?
In a very modern style, if you’re looking for relaxation and calm, we recommend the Aqua Suites hotel. It’s on a human scale, which makes for a much more relaxing experience.
We loved the welcome we received at this hotel, the whole team was smiling. As soon as we entered, we noticed the modern decor and the reasonable noise level.
Once again, we liked the design of the room, but above all the space, and also the terrace for relaxing at the end of the day.

4. Hotel Casa de las Flores (Teguise)
Why stay there
La Casa de las Flores is a small, charming hotel in a carefully restored manor house dating from 1785.
The 5 bedrooms and apartment have been created with unique concepts and works of art that blend into the space. The decor is exquisite and the attention to detail impeccable.
If you’re looking for a quiet, inspiring luxury vacation, this is an excellent choice. We were very inspired!
On the other hand, you won’t have a beach nearby for all that history (25min drive).

5. Hotel Aequora Suites (families – puerto del Carmen)
Why stay there?
If you come to Puerto del Carmen with children, we highly recommend this hotel. The water sports areas are just perfect, with pools for all ages. We particularly liked the ones with the fish and the giant turtle.
Rooms are spacious and modern, with terraces of varying sizes.
We liked the brightness and good atmosphere of the hotel, with plenty of space for everyone.

6. Radisson Blu Resort Hotel (adults-only – Costa Teguise)
Why stay there?
If you’re looking for a peaceful, elegant stay with a feeling of space to breathe, we recommend the Radisson Blu hotel.
It’s not right in the center, but it’s not far either (15 min from all downtown restaurants). We immediately appreciated the hotel’s relaxing atmosphere.
The variety of seats and armchairs facing the pools and the sea was very pleasant, even if it’s not always easy to choose!
We also like the spacious rooms with their natural tones and modern decor. And everyone has at least one little balcony to enjoy the view!

- Playa Bastian beach, with its mix of sand and rocks, is just a 2-minute walk away.

OUR ADVICE FOR RENTING A CAR IN Lanzarote
- Compare prices on our preferred platform: DiscoverCars – one of the best rated sites.
- A small car is all you need.
- But you can also choose a larger one if you wish, as the parking spaces are rather large.
- Demand is high, so book early.

7. Hotel Hipotel Natura Palace (Playa Blanca)
Why stay there
If you’re looking for a quality adults-only hotel-resort in Playa Blanca, this is a good option.
We enjoyed our stay with a large, comfortable and well-equipped room. We particularly liked the view from our balcony, between the sea and the palm trees.
The pools were large and pleasant.
Best of all, it was quiet during the day, which was ideal for relaxing.

- direct access to Playa Natura (3-minute walk), a white sand and pebble beach.
- Not far from Playa Montana Roja

8. Aparthotel Jardines del Sol (Playa Blanca)
Why stay there
In our opinion, this establishment is an excellent choice for a pleasant stay with family or friends in Playa Blanca. You can stay in fully equipped apartments that guarantee total independence. This is a more economical option, as you’ll be able to cook your own meals.
What’s more, the facilities are ideally suited to group vacations. Between the swimming pools, miniature golf course and Bar-Restaurant, you’ll never be bored!
We also really liked the landscaping, with its climate-appropriate plants and contrasting colors.

9. Hotel Oasis Lanzarote Beach Mate (Costa Teguise)
Why stay there?
We also fell in love with the Oasis Hotel. From the moment we entered, we were charmed by the warm, modern decor.
The 2 swimming pools and tennis courts are perfect for relaxing and doing a bit of sport.
The atmosphere is very pleasant, with small white buildings surrounded by green plants.
And the hotel is centrally located with easy access to restaurants and beaches!

10. Aparthotel Nazaret Apartments (Costa Teguise)
Why stay there?
If you don’t want to eat out at every meal, the aparthotel is an excellent option. We really liked the Nazaret Apartments.
The pool area is very large and quiet, so it’s easy to breathe. Our apartment was quite spacious with a small, well-designed kitchen and a pleasant terrace.
We also found the welcome very warm. It was very pleasant from the moment we arrived.
What’s more, they’re conveniently located in the heart of town, with access to all the restaurants (for when you’re tired of cooking) and beaches.

11. Hotel Las Costas (Puerto del Carmen)
Why stay there?
A beautiful U-shaped hotel where everyone can enjoy the view of the beach and the sea.
We really liked the ambience of this hotel, with touches of color to liven up the white and a very pleasant pool overlooking the sea.
On the second floor, the terrace offers views of the beach, the sea and the volcanoes in the background: the picture postcard of Lanzarote.
The hotel isn’t too big, so it’s still pretty quiet, which we appreciate!

12. Hotel Nautilus Lanzarote (Puerto del Carmen)
Why stay there?
This is definitely the most surprising hotel we’ve discovered in Lanzarote. The pools and rooms/apartments are quite classic and rather pleasant. The complex is not too big and the atmosphere is relaxed.
But the lobby is filled with works of art and the lower level is an art gallery where we enjoyed spending time. We really liked the combination!
And we also liked the library section, where we could find books in several languages.

13. MYND Yaiza Hotel (Playa Blanca)
Why stay there
What immediately caught our eye at the Mynd (and then some) were the separate areas around the pools. And the hotel has plenty of pools!
Both sides are very large, with large swimming pools. On the right, adults relax and on the left, children have fun with great games and small slides.
We also really liked the ambiance and decor of the lobby and bar, as well as the minimalist, modern decor of the room.

If you’re looking for an all-inclusive resort with activities for the whole family, this is the hotel to consider: kids’ clubs, entertainment, minigolf, beach volleyball, tennis, table tennis, outdoor and indoor play areas…
