Best adults-only hotel: Barcelo Royal Level Adults-only
We really appreciated the calm, relaxed atmosphere just a stone’s throw from the beach. Admittedly, the suites didn’t have sea views, but the lush green terraces and long swimming pool were a pleasant luxury.

Best family hotel: Barcelo Royal Level – Family-club
Another hotel with Royal-Level benefits, but where children can enjoy them too. Here, some rooms overlook the sea, and ours even had a Jacuzzi.

Best 5-star hotel: Elba Palace
A beautiful hotel, perfect for golf enthusiasts. We fell in love with the magnificent building and especially the square patio. It’s right at the heart of one of the two 18-hole courses.

Best 2-star hotel: La Casita
If you’re looking for a boutique hotel, a little less massive, La Casita de Fuste is charming, with its small restaurant and refreshing pool. Excellent value for money.

Where to stay in Caleta de Fuste: best areas
Why choose Caleta de Fuste to stay in Fuerteventura?
Caleta has two main advantages:
- It’s quite centrally located, which means you can drive less on average if you want to explore the whole island.
- The beach is quite calm and gently sloping. It’s ideal for families with young children.
On the other hand, it’s close to the airport (so you can often hear planes going by) and we find it less charming than Corralejo or Morro Jable.
This is one of the main places to stay in Fuerteventura!

Staying around Playa del Castillo
Benefits:
- Close to the large sandy beach
- Close to restaurants and bars
Disadvantages:
- Noisier environment
- Only hotels and restaurants around
Staying in the city
You can also find hotels a little further away from the beach, closer to the main road FV-2.
Benefits:
- Lower prices
- Restaurants and stores
Disadvantages:
- 10-15 minute walk to the beach
Between Playa La Guirra and the Golf course
To the south of the main beach and town center, you’ll find the famous Caleta de Fuste golf course, with its 2 18-hole courses and 3 gently sloping sandy coves.
Some hotels are located along the beach, others in the heart of the golf course.

Disadvantages:
- Fewer nearby restaurants outside hotels

1. Barcelo Royal Level Hotel – Adults-only
Why stay there?
The Barcelo Royal Level hotel in Caleta de Fuste is an excellent luxury option thanks to its excellent location, just a few steps from the beach. Lovers of idleness and swimming will be delighted by the proximity of the sea.
Surrounded by greenery, the hotel’s suites offer a pleasant, spacious ambience. It’s a pleasure to relax in this comfortable space, while the private terrace adds an extra touch of privacy. Enjoying the peaceful views over the lush gardens while sipping a drink is a most soothing experience.
The only negative point: in our opinion, the buffet was not up to the standard of the hotel’s other services.
Swimming pool and beach
We really enjoyed the full-length pool facing the sea.
The choice of pool seats and beds was very pleasant.
It’s not huge, but as it’s only for the Royal Adults-only hotel, it’s sufficient.
We also had access to the spa pools, which are shared by all Barcelo hotels.
As for the beach, it’s hard to get much closer. You can see it from the pool and just walk a few metres to get your feet in the sand! Who needs shoes on vacation?

2. Barcelo Royal Level Hotel – Family
Why stay there?
Staying at the Barcelo Royal Level hotel in Caleta de Fuste was a most pleasant experience. Our room with sea view and private Jacuzzi was simply magnificent. Relaxing in the Jacuzzi while admiring the breathtaking ocean views was truly a moment of pure bliss.
Rooms are spacious and modernly decorated, offering a comfortable place to rest and recharge after a busy day. It was a real pleasure to feel at home in these elegant surroundings.
We also really appreciated the restaurant dedicated to the Royal Level part of the hotel. The beautiful views and refined ambience make it a pleasant place to enjoy delicious meals. The quality of the food on offer was excellent, and we were able to enjoy a wide variety of tasty dishes in the warm atmosphere of the restaurant.
Swimming pool and beach
This hotel has a pool for toddlers and another for older children and adults. It’s much quieter than the resort’s other pools. But if one day, you want a bigger pool, you can go and enjoy the others.
This part of the hotel doesn’t lead directly onto the beach, but it’s less than 5 minutes’ walk away, so it’s not difficult… So you’re a little calmer.

3. Hotel Elba Palace Golf – Adults-only
Why stay there?
The Hotel Elba Palace in Caleta de Fuste is a haven of peace, offering welcome calm for travelers in search of tranquility. Its direct access to the golf course makes it an ideal location for fans of this exciting sport. We particularly enjoyed spending time on the central patio, surrounded by palm trees and imbued with the typical charm of the Canary Islands, with its warm wooden decor.
The spacious rooms, with their typical decor, are a haven of comfort. Each room has a balcony offering different views, but we strongly recommend that you choose a room with a golf course view. It’s a unique experience to wake up to a panoramic view of the verdant course.
Swimming pool and beach
The hotel has a heated outdoor swimming pool with a large solarium area, so you’re not stuck on top of each other. As the hotel only has 60 rooms, the size of the pool is sufficient.
As this hotel is next to the golf course, it’s not on the beach. But the beach isn’t far away, just a 5-minute drive.

4. Hotel La Casita de Fuerte
Why stay there?
If you like small, family-run hotels away from the big hotels, with a warm, personalized welcome, look no further.
Located in a quiet street, the house has a lot of charm with wood and blue. The rooms are simply decorated but practical.
This hotel offers excellent value for money, with even a small swimming pool.

Small swimming pool at the foot of the hotel, ideal for a refreshing swim, and a real plus for a 2-star hotel.
Playa del Castillo beach is a 15-minute walk away (flat and easy).

5. Broncemar Beach Suites Hotel
Why stay there?
The Broncemar Beach hotel in Caleta de Fuste offers a modern, uncluttered ambience that’s seductive from the moment you arrive. We continue in the series of Barcelo hotels, which are all grouped around the main beach.
In the Fuerteventura Mar, we immediately appreciated the reception area with its warm, natural decor.
The rooms are spacious, modern and quite warm, with small balconies overlooking the pools, the beach a little further away and the sea.

Large, pleasant pools for swimming or just relaxing in the water.
The beach is just outside the hotel, so you don’t even need to wear shoes; you just cross the boardwalk and your feet are in the sand.

The Barcelo Castillo hotel in Caleta de Fuste offers spacious, modern rooms with all the comforts you need for a pleasant stay. What’s more, the bungalows have small kitchens if you want to take a break between meals in the restaurant.
What also sets this hotel apart is its original layout, with a series of staggered bungalows surrounded by greenery, avoiding the impersonal aspect of long corridors. This creates a warmer, more intimate atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and feeling at home.
What’s more, the hotel offers a variety of entertainment and activities specially designed for children, making it a prime destination for families on vacation. Youngsters can have fun and be entertained while creating wonderful memories.
