1. Best 5-star hotel in Lanzarote: Fariones

Truly exceptional. Our stay was a true source of pleasure: from the infinity pool to the tropical gardens, from the warm, elegant decor to the breathtaking sea views and the beachfront location (right next to Playa del Carmen’s main beach), not to mention the attentive staff…
This hotel lives up to its reputation. From the moment we arrived, we immediately felt at home, surrounded by palm trees and enchanting scenery.
The infinity pool in particular caught our eye, creating the perfect place to relax after our island explorations. The generous buffets also did their part to recharge our batteries.

2. Best beach resort: Princessa Yaiza
The essentials

Why stay there?
We had a very pleasant experience at this resort. Nestled just a few steps from the beach, we were treated to a splendid view of the ocean. The quality of our services was outstanding.
We were seduced by the view from every corner of the hotel: from the rooms, from the pools, from the seafront promenade. It’s simply beautiful.
And if you’re looking for a resort with every imaginable amenity, this is the best option in Playa Blanca.

The resort boasts a wide range of facilities for young and old alike:
- direct access to Playa Dorada, the largest beach in the center of Playa Blanca, with sun loungers

3. Best all-inclusive family resort: Aequora
The essentials:

Why stay there?
If you come to Puerto del Carmen with children, we highly recommend this hotel. The water sports areas are just perfect, with pools for all ages. We particularly liked the ones with the giant fish and turtle.
Rooms are spacious and modern, with terraces of varying sizes.
We liked the brightness and good atmosphere of the hotel, with plenty of space for everyone.

Why stay there?
This adults-only establishment offers a luxurious experience in a unique setting on the island of Lanzarote. In our opinion, these are its main assets:
- Facilities: the hotel offers a wide range of services to meet all guests’ needs: 4 heated outdoor pools, a spa area, a fully-equipped gym, 6 restaurants, bars and other leisure facilities. We found the establishment to be very comprehensive. We highly recommend a stay here!
- Decoration: the hotel is tastefully decorated and offers a warm, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are luxurious and equipped with all the comforts you need to feel good. We really liked the vegetation on the site. Exotic plants seemed to have taken over the outdoors!

5. Best adults-only boutique hotel: CalaLanzarote (ideal for couples)
The essentials

Why stay there?
This hotel was one of our favorites in Lanzarote.
It offered us a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, with the Castillo in the foreground, which is one of its main attractions.
We were particularly taken by the large outdoor swimming pool and, even more so, by the cocooning atmosphere it provides: its uncluttered decor highlights the magnificent landscape. As soon as we arrived, a feeling of serenity came over us.

- But you can also choose a larger one if you wish, as the parking spaces are rather large.

Unparalleled refinement. As a small boutique hotel structure, the team is able to provide a truly personalized service to each and every guest.
The rooms, sublime and bathed in light, exude a modern ambience. White predominates, creating a dazzling atmosphere.
We were also delighted by the view from the restaurant to the small beach nestling at the foot of the building.
Located in the heart of the city, this charming, small hotel offers a remarkable central location!

Why stay there?
Another of our favorites.
The Kamezi villas won us over with their refinement and sumptuousness, enhanced by a private pool, natural materials and soothing hues.
What’s more, the sea-view bar was simply ideal, and our evening in the gourmet restaurant, where we enjoyed local produce and revisited Canarian dishes, remains etched in our memories.
The entire team took great care to ensure that we had an excellent stay.

Villas feature private pools with a small garden. It’s very pleasant.
This hotel enjoys a privileged seafront location, with direct access to Playa de Montaña Roja (6-minute walk), a white sand and pebble beach. All you need to do to reach the beach is follow the seawall path from the establishment.

Why stay there?
Puerto del Carmen is rich in aparthotel facilities. One of our favorites is Playamar, with its exceptional location right in the heart of town and just 2 minutes from the main beach.
The apartment has a modern decor and a small, fairly well-equipped kitchen, so you don’t have to eat out at every meal.
We loved the inner courtyard with its pools, palm trees and succulent plants.
We found the apartment’s minimalist style and terrace space very pleasant.

9. Best historic hotel: Palacio Ico
The essentials:
- Location: Historic center of Teguise

Why stay there?
Situated in the cobbled streets of historic Teguise, the Palacio Ico is a small 9-room hotel with lots of charm.
The building, which dates back to 1690, has been restored and adapted. Elements of traditional Canarian architecture have been preserved.
It’s a real trip back in time, but with all the modern comforts!
We love the interior patio, all the wooden elements, the stone walls…
On the other hand, to get all this history, you won’t have a beach nearby (it’s a 25-minute drive).

10. Best 4* boutique hotel: Royal Marina Suites
The essentials:

Why stay there?
This is one of Lanzarote’s finest boutique hotels. It’s very elegant, modern and bright. As soon as you enter the hotel, a wave of relaxation sets in.
We love the seaside pool and the magnificent views from the rooms.
The team is always on hand to help us have an excellent stay.
The minimalist design is very successful and allows you to concentrate on the essentials: the view and relaxation.

Why stay there?
It’s impossible to beat the Barcelo hotel’s location in the heart of the city.
This is an elegant hotel with 2 beautiful pools that immediately charmed us. They are ideal for those who love to swim.
Our room was spacious with a sitting area. We had a beautiful terrace with jacuzzi and sea view. A great way to unwind at the end ofa day exploring Lanzarote!

- 1 full-length infinity pool with sea view
- Between the beaches of Playa de las Cucharas (the main one) and Playa del Jablillo. Very easy to access.

If you want access to a water park for the whole family, there’s no equivalent on Lanzarote. This is the hotel with the water park, but it’s open to outsiders.
