1. Restaurant Hotel Kamezi Villas (Gastronomic – Playa Blanca)
Adjacent to the Kamezi Villas, we enjoyed a very poetic moment in the hotel restaurant. Our gourmet meal with local notes and colors literally awakened our taste buds, in a magnificent setting. The chef and his team’s market cuisine between land and sea is a real tribute to your senses and to Lanzarote’s special characteristics.

These characterful dishes are created using fresh produce from the island’s volcanic soil and the Atlantic Ocean. Whether you prefer seafood (salmon, squid, mackerel, moray eel or prawns) or meat (game, poultry), the 2 menu options will delight your taste buds! The Bernegal menu is served in 14 courses and the Ganigo menu in 12 courses. It’s an invitation to travel through the plates.
On the drinks front, sip one of our homemade cocktails. Spicy margarita with ginger syrup or Bloody Kamezi with Lanzarote tomato juice, you’ll be surprised by the combination of traditional cocktails and the mixologist’s refined personalized touch. The à la carte menu also includes several references to Lanzarote wines, or volcano wines.

If you want to extend your experience in this timeless place, you can stay 1 or more nights in the charming Hotel Kamezi Villas, which houses this restaurant. In fact, we listed it in our article on luxury hotels in Playa Blanca (Lanzarote).

2. La Cocina de Colacho (Gastronomic – Playa Blanca)

Here’s another restaurant offering an exceptional culinary experience. Unfortunately the chef was recovering from a medical operation on our last trip, but we hope to be able to test him soon.
The calm atmosphere with its mix of textures is a great success.
Here, the work with cooking and sauces seems fascinating. You’ll find local products such as Lanzarote cheese and fish, along with gourmet-style cuisine.
The experience is also visual, as Chef Colacho has his kitchen behind a large window, as if he were in a laboratory.

Practical information:
- Neighborhood: Marina Rubicon.
- Type: bistronomic.
- Range: Tasting menu at 85 euros
- Capacity: more than 25 place settings.

OUR ADVICE FOR RENTING A CAR IN Lanzarote
- Compare prices on our preferred platform: DiscoverCars – one of the best rated sites.
- A small car is all you need.
- But you can also choose a larger one if you wish, as the parking spaces are rather large.
- Demand is high, so book early.

3. Restaurant Lani’s Gourmet (view, Puerto del Carmen)
Eating a bistronomic meal while contemplating the splendid blue expanse of the Atlantic – isn’t that what vacations are all about? Discover refined cuisine and awaken your senses at Lani’s Gourmet restaurant. As well as the idyllic seafront setting, with the island of Fuerteventura opposite, we were won over by the quality of the food and service. The team in the dining room will make sure you have a memorable time, and the chef will impress you with the finesse of his cuisine.

Between land and sea, the menu focuses on seafood products, including tuna, salmon, lobster, prawns and lobster, as well as octopus. If you prefer other white or red meats, you will also be served. Iberian ham, beef strogonoff, Provençal chicken breast and lamb shoulder are also on offer. Vegetarian options are available à la carte, such as pasta with seasonal vegetables and truffles, or risotto with porcini mushrooms. A wide choice of drinks awaits you à la carte, and in fact a glass of champagne and a non-alcoholic fruit cocktail were offered to us on arrival at the table. We have fond memories of this colorful and delicious meal.

4. Restaurant Epicure (Bistronomic – Playa Blanca)
The Greek philosopher Epicurus taught that “pleasure is good, but it must be measured and balanced in order to achieve happiness”. Fusion and bistronomy on the restaurant’s menu, even in a shopping lane right next to Playa Blanca‘s main beach! Run by a couple from Belgium and Slovakia who are very friendly and approachable, this establishment is one of the best addresses in this part of Lanzarote.

Enjoy and share good food, while respecting nature and the seasons: that’s what you can expect from this beautiful city restaurant, in an original setting that leaves plenty of room for art.
Between grilled octopus with Galician sauce, filet de Cernier à la plancha and seafood bisque, or crispy black Canary pig with seasonal vegetables, which dish will you choose?

At the Citurna restaurant and tapas bar, from smoked burrata from Fuerteventura to French-style duck breast, from American-style sirloin steak to ceviche from the day’s catch, the menu at this bistronomic restaurant takes you around the world.

Sit back and relax in our warmly decorated indoor dining room or on our street-side terrace. For dessert, would you prefer Basque cheese or homemade ice cream? Or both?
The prices are really very affordable for the quality of the products.
To drink, the wine list is extensive. Grands crus from different wine-growing regions of the world, renowned for their vintages, are chosen by the owner, but the cellar naturally honors local volcanic wines, such as “Vulcano seco”, “Florida rosado” or “Taro”.

7. Restaurant SeBe (bistronomic, Costa Teguise)
We had a very poetic experience at Restaurant SeBe near Playa de las Cucharas, east of Costa Teguise. First of all, we were immersed in a refreshingly marine décor: royal blue accents contrasting with white stone, patterned glass containers, a verdant terrace.
The chef takes us to the crossroads between traditional Canarian cuisine and contemporary seafood gastronomy.
The team in the dining room provides impeccable service, taking great care to ensure that our guests enjoy a timeless experience.

To feel the strength and uniqueness of the island of Lanzarote is what chef Santi Benéitez and owner are looking for, through the dishes and the atmosphere of the place. We enjoyed ourselves. From starters to desserts, main courses and drinks, nothing is left to chance. Aesthetics and attention to detail also play a key role in this restaurant. Our dishes were served on beautiful plates reminiscent of the volcanic rock of the Lanzarote landscape.
A menu designed around the sea: shellfish, salmon, octopus, gambas, squid and seasonal vegetables from local farms. Some rice dishes accompanied by Iberian ham or Joselito pork are also available.

The restaurant also boasts a fine cellar: we counted over 70 wines and spirits on the menu, most of which are grown on the Canary Islands.

8. Restaurant La Tabla (Ambiance, Tapas, Costa Teguise)
If you’re looking for an authentic, intimate dining experience in Costa Teguise with exceptional local dishes, look no further! With its rustic decor, quality tapas, warm welcome and sunny terrace, the La Tabla restaurant won us over. We remembered what small pleasures also mean on vacation. Those suspended moments when conviviality, sharing and serenity make us forget everything else.

We appreciated the variety of tapas on offer and the careful presentation at every stage of the meal. A beautiful palette of colors appeared on our plate between chorizo, falafel, grilled zucchini and local cheese. You’ll also find the famous “patatas bravas”, sautéed mushrooms, black pudding burger or marinated anchovies on the menu, which go perfectly with local wines, craft beers and cocktails. In our opinion, this authentic island eatery is one of the top-of-the-range establishments and goes further than a classic tapas bar.

- Type: bistronomic.
- Capacity: more than 25 place settings.
- Price range: between €25 and €45 per person (excluding drinks).
- Canary Islands specialities: yes.

9. Restaurant Bistro Arbol (vegan, Puerto del Carmen)
It’s possible to eat healthily on vacation! Restaurant Bistro Arbol was a great discovery during our stay. In a green setting with climbing plants and wooden stakes, we enjoyed a pleasant, well-balanced meal. A 100% organic menu awaits you in this delightful bistro. This establishment will prove to you that vegetarianism can rhyme with pleasure and the art of the table. The vegetables, fruit, herbs and plants you use to dress your dishes are sourced mainly on the island, so go local!

From knife-cut Belgian fries to red bean and quinoa burgers, homemade falafel and mouth-watering desserts, we were pleasantly surprised by the menu’s variety.
Bistrot Arbol also shares its passion for local craft beers and wines. You’ll find almost forty beer references on the menu, brewed in the Canary Islands, Spain and Belgium.

10. Restaurant Mácher60 (gourmet, Puerto del Carmen)
At this gourmet restaurant in Puerto del Carmen, sublimating local products is a real art! At Restaurant Mácher60, your dishes will be as beautiful as they are delicious. Multiple flavors, textures and colors will find their way to your plate! Grilled confit leeks, smoked salmon with Lanzarote strawberries and fermented figs, slices of black pig, croquettes of smoked matured beef cutlet or Galician shrimps and rock fish… The chef takes us on a journey to the heart of the island’s specialties, and makes a point of thinking of each dish as a work of art.

Sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can enjoy your authentic meal in elegant surroundings, overlooking the arid lunar landscapes that characterize Lanzarote.
Choose from à la carte starters, main courses and desserts or a tasting menu, with or without wine pairings. Produced in conditions that are unique in the world, Lanzarote wines come from a mineral and volcanic soil where fire, water and wind each add their own touch.

11. Unique experience: Jameos Del Agua Restaurante (in a lava tube)

Here, there’s no need for gourmet dishes or any special attention to detail, just a unique experience: eating in a lava tube! The site is easy to visit, but why not have lunch here and spend a little more time under one of the openings where the cave collapsed. And right next door is a small inland lake with white crabs!
We had a unique, timeless time here.
We chose a salad and a tart. Simple but pleasant.

12. Unique experience: El Diablo restaurant in Timanfaya (volcanic)

The other unique Lanzarote experience takes place in Timanfaya National Park.
Once again, we’re here more for the experience than for the meal.
First of all, the restaurant offers panoramic views of the magnificent park with its volcanoes and all its colors (the wall is covered with windows). The location is exceptional.
What’s more, the meat is cooked using geothermal energy. As a result, cooking is not always under control, and some people complain that the meat is too dry.

Practical information:
- In Timanfaya National Park (admission charge)
- Type: meat but there is a vegetarian menu
- Capacity: more than 25 place settings.
