Best resorts in Fuerteventura – quick answer
The definition of a hotel-resort is not very clear. We’ve selected hotels with the most comprehensive offer, so you don’t have to go out if you don’t want to… Activities, meals, shopping… everything is available!

Best all-inclusive resort
The Iberostar hotel complex in Morro Jable with the Selection Palace (5 stars), the Playa Gaviotas (4 stars – excellent value), and the lower Gaviotas Park.
Best family resort
The Barcelo resort in Caleta de Fuste with easy access to the gently sloping beach. Plenty of pools and activities for children of all ages. This hotel includes: Barcelo Royal (for a little more peace and quiet), Barcelo Fuerteventura Mar and Barcelo Castillo.

The Secrets Bahia Hotel in Corralejo offers a quiet, luxurious experience, with easy access to Corralejo town center – see prices, photos & availability

Best resort for sports enthusiasts
The resort of Las Playitas is less well-known than the others, but if you like sports, it’s a no-brainer. Next to a charming village, a sports complex has sprung up, with Olympic and other pools, golf, minigolf, climbing wall, sports halls, tennis and badminton courts… and much more!

Resort hotel with a calm atmosphere
IF you’re looking for peace and quiet above all else, we’ve found the H10 Playa Esmeralada hotel in the quiet town of Costa Calma to be a great option.
The hotel is spacious, so you can find the atmosphere to suit you, it’s adults-only and the evenings end fairly early.

Finding your way
Here’s an overview of Fuerteventura’s seaside resorts, if you want to choose the place before the hotel.
Be aware, however, that you can find very quiet hotels in lively resorts, and very lively hotels in very quiet resorts.

- But you can also choose a larger one if you wish, as the parking spaces are rather large.

Fuerteventura’s liveliest resorts
Corralejo
Corralejo is a vibrant town with a wide choice of hotels, restaurants and bars.
You’ll also find a wide range of activities: water sports, buggies, visits to the island of Lobos and shopping centers.
And there’s a good choice of beaches in the town center.
The city isn’t too spread out, so you can get around easily on foot.
We think it’s the most convenient resort if you want everything nearby.

Morro Jable
Morro jable actually has several sections with different atmospheres.
The old town is very lively, with many restaurants and bars. We really enjoyed our evenings there.
In the center, you have the shopping, strolling and beach part.
And to the north, large hotel-resorts with nothing around them.
The town is longer, and it’s harder to get from one end to the other, but it has a very long sandy beach all the way along, which is very pleasant.

Caleta de Fuste
Caleta de Fuste is a convenient seaside resort:
- It’s quite centrally located, which means you can drive less on average if you want to explore the whole island.
- The beach is quite calm and gently sloping. It’s ideal for families with young children.
- It is close to the airport
- It has many bars and restaurants, with a lively nightlife during the high season.
However, we find it less charming than Corralejo or Morro Jable.

Quietest resorts in Fuerteventura
Costa Calma
Costa Calma is the ideal place to stay for those in search of beautiful beaches and peace and quiet. It’s a place almost entirely dedicated to tourists, but it’s still very quiet. You’ll find few restaurants and bars, compared with the others.
This is also the place to be for water sports enthusiasts, especially windsurfers.

If you’re looking for a quieter place with beautiful beaches and mainly apartment rentals (no big hotels), El Cotillo is a good option.
We love strolling around El Cotillo for its easy-going, low-key atmosphere.

Why choose it
The Iberostar Morro Jable hotel complex is located just above a beautiful sandy beach. You can easily enjoy the pleasures of the seaside and panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. It also offers a variety of sports facilities, such as tennis and archery…

2. Barcelo resort in Caleta de Fuste
Why choose it
Similarly, in Caleta de Fuste, you’ll find a hotel complex with 4 hotels, 1 of which is exclusively for adults.
There’s something for everyone, including a giant spa shared by all the hotels.
The 4 hotels are right on the beach, offering easy access to the seafront as well as to the town and its restaurants.
Rooms are spacious and modernly decorated, offering a comfortable place to rest and recharge after a busy day.
We particularly liked the two Royal-Level hotels, as they offer a quieter environment, yet still have access to entertainment when you want it.

Barcelo Royal Level family swimming pool
This hotel has a pool for toddlers and another for older children and adults. It’s much quieter than the resort’s other pools. But if one day, you want a bigger pool, you can go and enjoy the others.
This part of the hotel doesn’t lead directly onto the beach, but it’s less than a 5-minute walk away, so it’s not difficult… And you’re a little quieter.

Barcelo Royal Level Adults-only swimming pool
We really enjoyed the full-length pool facing the sea.
The choice of seats and pool beds was very pleasant. It’s not huge, but as it’s only for the Royal Adults-only hotel, it’s sufficient.
We also had access to the spa pools, which are shared by all Barcelo hotels.
As for the beach, it’s hard to get much closer. You can see it from the pool and just walk a few metres to get your feet in the sand! Who needs shoes on vacation?

Barcelo Fuerteventura Mar swimming pool
Large, pleasant pools for swimming or just relaxing in the water.
The beach is just outside the hotel, so you don’t even need to wear shoes, just cross the boardwalk and have your feet in the sand.
This is the busiest part of the hotel.

Barcelo Castillo swimming pool
2 outdoor pools with beautiful views of the sea, beach and mountains. At the center of these pools is the Castillo, Torre de San Buenaventura. It was a defensive tower built in the 18th century. It is 6m thick.
Kids love these pools.

3. Barcelo Corralejo Sands resort
Why choose it
The Barcelo Corralejo Sands hotel offers a pleasant stay thanks to its central location, making it easy to enjoy the charms of the city. The spacious rooms are a haven of comfort, offering all the space you need to relax after a busy day. What we liked most was the careful design of the hotel, which avoids the massive appearance often associated with large properties. This creates a welcoming, convivial atmosphere.
A particular advantage for families with young children is the dedicated area specially designed for them. With an adapted swimming pool and play area, parents can easily keep an eye on their children while enjoying moments of relaxation. It’s the perfect place to play together and create precious family memories.

The Playa de los Verilitos beach is a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

4. Hotel Secrets Bahia in Corralejo
Why choose it
If you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Corralejo, we really like the Secrets Bahia hotel. In fact, it was one of our favorite 5-star hotels in Fuerteventura.
The superb views of the sea and the island of Lobos are breathtaking, creating a spectacular backdrop for an unforgettable vacation. The beautiful pool, surrounded by magnificent palm trees and dotted with quiet spots, gives the impression of being in a real tropical oasis, far from the hustle and bustle.
What also sets this hotel apart is its warm, intimate atmosphere, despite its size. Well-appointed spaces and hidden nooks add a touch of charm and conviviality, creating an atmosphere that’s nothing like that of a huge hotel complex.
A real favorite was the small garden terrace, where we enjoyed our dinner and breakfast al fresco. It was an authentic experience, offering a peaceful atmosphere.
Swimming pool and beach
The hotel’s swimming pool is really its strongest asset. We particularly liked the curves of the pools, and the palm trees and other plants, which create smaller spaces where everyone can find peace and quiet.
There’s also a beach right in front of the hotel with deckchairs and cabanas on the water. But the beach isn’t all sand: there are also rocks and popcorn-shaped coral reefs.

5. Las Playitas resort
Why choose it
This hotel doesn’t have the full all-inclusive because it’s a sports hotel. But they do offer full board, ideal for those looking to enjoy, spend and relax.
The location is quiet and beautiful, overlooking a large black sand beach.
You have access to a huge number of sports facilities: 5 swimming pools, tennis courts, badminton, golf course, mini-golf, climbing wall, boxing gym…
Swimming pool and beach
The complex boasts 5 outdoor pools, including a children’s pool (divided between this hotel and the aparthotel).
They are open all year round.
One of the pools is infinity, another has a waterslide and one is Olympic-sized.
Some suites even have a private pool, but unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to see them).
Just down the road from the hotel, you’ll find Las Playitas beach. It’s a long, wide beach with beautiful black sand.

6. H10 Playa Esmeralda (Costa Calma)
Why choose it
As soon as you enter the H10 Playa Esmeralda hotel in Costa Calma, you’re amazed by its colorful decor and the grandeur of the building. Inside, spacious rooms welcome you with every comfort. Some also offer magnificent views of the sparkling sea, which stretches its horizon as far as the eye can see.
This hotel is ideal for travelers seeking a wide range of activities. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to the various leisure options on offer, from sports and spa relaxation to excursions and time by the pool.
What’s more, the H10 Playa Esmeralda is an ideal choice for those wishing to enjoy a child-free stay. The serene atmosphere and ambient calm create a soothing vacation experience, perfect for couples or travelers in search of tranquility.
One of the best all-inclusive hotels in Fuerteventura.
